The Kokoda Trekkers’ Memento Medal

Walking the Kokoda Track is one of the most challenging adventure treks on the planet.  Some trekkers walk to commemorate those who served in Papua New Guinea during World War 2.  All trekkers walk to test their own physical and emotional strengths and commitment.

The Kokoda Trekkers’ Memento Medal celebrates each trekker’s personal achievements with a beautiful medal, a lasting memento that can be personalised with the engraving of the trekker’s name and the month and  year of the trek.

The Kokoda Trekkers’ Memento Medal has been minted by Medal Art Mint and is offered in a choice of either copper or 99.9% fine silver.

The Kokoda Track Foundation is an Australian philanthropic organisation which aims to repay the selfless help given to Australia during World War II by the ‘Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels’ of Papua New Guinea by helping to improve the lives and futures of their descendants.  It does that by assisting with their education and healthcare, by trying to protect their environment, by helping to foster the growth of an eco-friendly trekking and tourism industry from which they can benefit, by working to keep the story of Kokoda alive, and by seeking to identify and foster the next generation of PNG leaders.
